Ventura Signs Louise Smith as Midwest and West Coast Rep

 (New York, NY, June 2005) Ventura Associates, Inc. has announced the addition of Louise Smith and SMSI—an ad technology, promotion and media rep firm—as a sales representative in the Western and Midwestern United States. Based in Hollywood, California, Louise and her team at SMSI (www.buzzequals.biz) will now be able to add custom and co-op prize promotions to its impressive list of marketing services, which already cover such categories as interactive, broadcast, and print, to event marketing.

 "Games, contests and sweepstakes have always been a popular, entertaining and effective method to achieve marketing and sales goals, and by our partnering with Ventura, our clients will be able to take advantage of their thirty-plus years of sales promotion expertise," according to Ms. Smith. SMSI's projects include work for Boston Beer, the Chicago Blues Festival, Miller Beer, Niki Style Magazine, Revlon, Skyy Spirits and Tower Records, among others.

A ‘Star’ is born-at least for the day-after Ventura Associates, The WB Television Network and Kmart select the ‘Look the Part, Get the Part’ Contest Winner

(New York, NY) A WB Television Network fan will have the chance to be a Star for a Day thanks to Kmart’s ‘Look the Part, Get the Part’ Contest executed by Ventura Associates. Not only does the winner receive a chance for a ‘Walk-on Part’ on The WB, he or she also takes a once in a lifetime trip for 4 to Los Angeles.

Designed to provide Kmart with a way to advertise its marketing partnership with The WB, ‘Look the Part, Get the Part’ also increased traffic in their stores, with national print and in-store signage advertising the contest.

The ‘Look the Part, Get the Part’ Contest generated a considerable response. Ventura Associates’ staff judged over 2,700 entries prior to selecting a top 100 for Kmart and The WB’s perusal and final winner selection.

Renée Azoulay Returns to Ventura Associates as Senior Director, New Business Development

--Promotions Agency Brings Back Azoulay--

(New York, NY, November 2004) Renée Azoulay, renowned as a marketing and promotional consultant to leading companies, has rejoined Ventura Associates, Inc. as Senior Director of its New Business Development sector.

Azoulay is rejoining an agency that has provided extensive experience with games of chance, expanded into interactive and online promotions, and has been called on by most of the Fortune 500. She will lead Ventura’s efforts in the government sector doing substantial work with the U.S. Postal Service, an account that demands strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.

Azoulay’s career has encompassed a marketing and research background. She served on multiple marketing teams at Bristol Squibb, where she played a key role in the planning and execution of marketing programs for leading OTC brands. Additional direct marketing experience at BBDO complemented her forte, relationship building.
